The P.E.I. Fall Flavours festival was presented with the Restaurants Canada & Diversey Culinary Tourism Award at the 2019 Canadian Tourism Awards presented by Tourism Industry Association of Canada on behalf of the P.E.I. Fall Flavours festival.

The Canadian Tourism Awards recognize success, leadership and innovation in Canada's tourism industry. 

Presented annually by TIAC, the awards honour people, places, organizations and events offering travellers superior tourism experiences in Canada. 

There were thirteen awards presented to Canadian tourism operators throughout the evening. 

Fall Flavours takes place annually at locations across Prince Edward Island from August  to October and is an initiative of the Food Island Partnership.

Chief Supt. Kevin Lewis, who was named the new commanding officer of P.E.I. RCMP in January, says his father was a police officer in Thunder Bay, Ont., and told Lewis to join the Mounties for the adventure and a change of scenery. He has since lived in four provinces and two territories.

Dhairya Purbia, a Grade 10 student from Colonel Gray High School, created a project to create electricity by burning waste as his entry for the 2024 P.E.I. Science Fair.
