The Credit Unions are inviting women in P.E.I. to join them for their second-annual free women’s conference: Investing in You.

Those interested can sign up online for one or both of the Investing in You events – Health & Wellness on a Budget held today or Navigating your Finances during COVID-19 & Beyond on March 4. Both events run online, 6-8 p.m.

To register or for full details, visit creditunionspei.com.

Investing in You will inspire Island women to do more with their money through casual, interactive panel discussions with local experts who will share their advice on topics such as financial wellness, work-life balance, budgeting, fitness and nutrition.

Due to the success of the two Investing in You events held in 2020, the credit unions knew that they needed to bring this knowledge to Island women again this year – especially due to the changes that COVID-19 has brought to P.E.I.

“In 2020, we had over 360 women register for our two Investing in You events,” said Shannon Kennedy, marketing and project manager with Consolidated Credit Union. “We listened to how Islanders fears and lives changed during COVID-19. We continue to witness the gender gap of financial literacy that exists between men and women – our goal is to help close that gap” said Kennedy.

Investing in You switched to a virtual format for 2021 to help keep Islanders social circles small and respect COVID-19 protocols. Held over two days, Investing in You plans to help Islanders invest in themselves and their future.
