Ostomy Education Day set for Nov. 23 in Charlottetown

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — There will be an Ostomy Education Day on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 9:30 a.m. to noon, at the Murphy Pharmacy Community Centre, Richmond Street, Charlottetown.

This is a drop-in opportunity for people to ask questions and get information on a one-to-one basis.

Nurses that are specialized in ostomy care will be available, as well as a dietician.

In addition, representatives from Conva Tec, Hollister and Coloplast, who are vendors selling Oostomy supplies, can answer questions and make suggestions.

There will also be information on the disability tax credit.

The morning is organized by the Charlottetown ostomy peer support group. For more information, contact Christine, 902-566-1459.
