CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Ruth Richman and Yoga Ink present a special yoga workshop on Feb. 8 using Kundalini Yoga techniques, including mantra, motion, mudras, meditation and breath to bring participants to the present moment.

The idea of be here now is simple to say but difficult for many to practice.

People play the same stories from their past over and over, either with delight if they are happy memories or with deep regret and sadness if they are negative memories that fill them with feelings of shame and guilt.

It is the same with always thinking about the future.

Sometimes people think about the future with fear of the unknown, but often it is a way to avoid their present life and the changes they might need to make.

Both of these practices can be self-destructive and keep up from living joy-filled lives.

The two-hour workshop begins at 11 a.m. at the Health Within Holistic Centre, in the Dynamic Fitness/InfraRed Fitness Building at 99 Pownal St. third floor, Charlottetown.

Pre-registration is requested as everyone receives an information packet.

For more information about the workshop, email Richman at [email protected] or call her at 902-969-3102.
