CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Guild has announced that a special concert, “The Guild Presents: Christmas Daddies!”, will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 19, starting at 7:30 p.m.
The evening boasts a lineup of talented P.E.I. artists, set to deliver their musical performances on stage at The Guild. The audience will be treated to musical selections from critically acclaimed P.E.I. folk artist Catherine MacLellan, award-winning singer/songwriter Tara MacLean and Dylan Menzie with his sprawling vocal range and compelling approach to composition.
Maritime comedian Jimmy the Janitor, host of the P.E.I. portion of the Christmas Daddies Telethon, will be the emcee for an evening that will also include performances by folk singer/songwriter Ashley Condon, well-known singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jon Matthews, Americana style singer/songwriter Brian J. Dunn and step dancers Luka Hall and Abi McCarthy.
Admission is by donation at the door. These funds will help less fortunate Island children have a better Christmas. The Guild is located at 111 Queen St. in Charlottetown.
For more than 55 years, CTV’s Christmas Daddies Telethon has raised funds for Island and Maritime children facing economic hardship during the holiday season. To date, the organization has raised more than $32 million, with funds channelled toward gifts, clothing and food for less-fortunate families and their children.
