Kerala Association marks India's independence at P.E.I. event

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The president and vice-president of the Kerala Association of Prince Edward Island recently took part in a ceremony in front of Charlottetown City Hall.

Jineesh Joshy and Josily Joseph were on hand to mark the 74th anniversary of India's Independence Day on Aug. 15.

The event included a flag-raising, speeches and awards.

About 250 people belong to the association in P.E.I.
