PARK CORNER, P.E.I. —

One of Prince Edward Island's cutest little halls on the North Shore is getting set to host the final two performances this season of Father and Song: Simply Folk.

The shows have been taking place each Sunday evening at the Seaview Hall and will continue on Aug. 25 and Sept. 1 before wrapping up for this year.

The hall, built in 1873, is located at 3749 on Route 20 in Seaview near Park Corner.

Each week this summer, the father and son duo of Shane and Michael Pendergast has hosted a folk songwriters night singing their own Maritime-flavoured compositions. Michael is a well-respected Island performer, and Shane is an up-and-coming songwriter and filmmaker.

Expect some funny stories and a wide variety of songs from the humourous to serious folk stylings.

In addition, Shane is preparing a soon-to-be-released album entitled “Place to the Name”.

Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.
