MOUNT STEWART, P.E.I. — Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, sideman, innovator, recording artist and multi-award-winner J.P Cormier will be playing the Trailside Music Cafe' & Inn on Aug. 20-21.
"The Trailside is more like your best friend’s kitchen than a venue," says Cormier. “From the first time I played there, it has always represented a warm, intimate environment where I can connect with the audience in a way you can't in more sterile venues.
“I've had bands in there, duos and most recently played it as a solo, and there hasn't been a time I didn't feel completely free to let loose and have a blast. Several of my original songs have been debuted in that room because I felt comfortable enough to do so".
During his career, Cormier has shared the stage and backed up artists such as Waylon Jennings, Marty Stuart, Earl Scruggs, Bill Monroe, Charlie Louvin and Vince Gill.
