Montague Regional High School

Barry Gosby, senior financial services officer with education and lifelong learning will be making a presentation on student loans, Community Service Bursaries (CSB) and Island Advantage Bursaries. It is important information parents and guardians need when assisting their children with funding for post-secondary school. It will take place Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria. The storm date is Feb. 13 at 6 p.m.

Kinkora Regional High School

Final exams start today and run to Jan. 31. Feb. 3 is a turn-around day with no classes, and Feb. 4 is the first day of the second semester.

The school appreciates the efforts of the parents who will be helping to provide the breakfast program during exams. It is a healthy way to start the day.

The Island Literary Awards are accepting student submissions until Feb. 28. Carleton University Bachelor of Humanities High School Essay Contest deadline is March 1.

The February Safe Grad activity will be night skiing on Feb. 7 at the Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park at Brookvale. 

Colonel Gray High School

The Grade 11 math assessment is Jan. 27 and final exams will continue to Jan. 31, following blocks A to D each day. Check the school website for specific dates of each exam.

Triple P “Dealing with Disobedience” session will be held on Jan. 30. Triple P “Managing Fighting and Aggression” session will be held on Feb. 4. Contact the student wellbeing team office at Colonel Gray for more details.

Holland College will be hosting Campus Tour Day on Feb. 1, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (storm date, Feb. 8). Students applying for courses on this day will have the normal application fee waived and a chance to win a $500 tuition credit.

Art 621 and 601 students from Colonel Gray and Charlottetown Rural will have an open showing of their final projects at The Guild Gallery, running until Feb. 3.

Report cards will be sent home with students on Feb. 7.
