Westisle Composite High School

There is no school for students March 16-20 for March break.

Westisle has had an exciting past few weeks which included motivational speaker Ian Tyson, who spoke to the entire the student body. His engaging presentation, called Hooray for Everything, spoke to choices people are faced with on a daily basis that can be approached differently to lead to a more productive and intentional lifestyle. The school appreciates the efforts of those who made this possible, including Tignish Credit Union as well as Vector Aerospace for their monetary contributions.

The chemistry department at UPEI has an exciting pilot project happening this summer for first-year general chemistry. For the summer semester, from July 7 until Aug. 11, students will be able to enroll in CHEM 1110, general chemistry, even if they have not taken Grade 12 chemistry. This is also a chance for students to complete one of their courses early, even if they have

Grade 12 chemistry. See Westisle's Facebook Parent page for more information.

Westisle appreciates the efforts of all parents who contributed and helped out in any way to make Teacher Appreciation Week a success. Tina Lissemore and Shelley Williams were involved in organizing everything. The food was amazing and delicious.
