Morell Regional High School
The grad committee is reminding the graduates and their parents to locate at least two baby pictures of the student and to submit these to Mr. Gallant as soon as possible. Pictures will be returned to their owners later in the year.
Now that the winter sports teams are in action, student athletes are reminded to make sure they have paid their fees and are in acceptable academic standing.
Holland College will be visiting C and D Block on Dec. 3 for one-on-one information sessions. The sign-up sheet is on Ms. Amy’s door. Learn about the variety of courses being offered at Holland College.
S.A.V.E. is going to have an essay/poetry contest this year. Students are encouraged to write an essay or poem with the topic of gender-based violence. The due date will be Dec. 5. There are no maximum or minimum word counts. A prize will be awarded to the student (s) who has submitted the essay/poem judged the most relevant and thoughtful.
A reminder that the S.A.V.E. cake auction is Dec. 4 in the cafeteria at lunch. Make sure to pool money to be able to buy a cake and support a worthwhile cause.

The Blazer Blizzard Christmas dance is Dec. 7, 8-11 p.m. Dress is semi-formal. Students can purchase tickets in advance for $10 or at the door for $15.
The Workers Compensation Board of P.E.I.’s Occupational Health & Safety Leadership Program is in full swing at KRHS. The OHS Leaders for the 2019/2020 school year are Grade 11 students Hayden Callaghan and Emma Coughlin. They organized a photo booth to promote young worker safety.

The Liberations of The Netherlands 75 trip, which takes place April 28 to May 7, 2020, commemorates the 75th anniversary since the end of the Second World War in Europe. Forty-six KRHS students will be visiting France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Students are selling 50/50 tickets every Tuesday evening at the Kinkora BINGO and every Thursday evening at the Borden-Carleton Bingo. Montague Regional High School
Last week many students participated in S.A.F.E. week, including meditation with the monks and interacting with therapy dogs.
There are no classes on Dec. 6 as it is a joint staff development day.
Berry Genge, Damien Collings and Luke Smith participated in Rotary Youth Parliament on weekend and represented the school proudly. Luke and Damien sat on opposition and pushed the government with their resolutions and amendments. Berry was exceptional as acting premier of P.E.I. and executed confidence successfully leading her government to pass several bills into law.
Colonel Gray High School
The University of Kings College information session is Dec. 4 at the Delta Prince Edward at 7 p.m. Attendees can take advantage of free expedited admissions.
On Dec. 6, there will be no classes due to a joint staff professional learning day (published as Dec. 3 incorrectly last week).
Classes will be cancelled on Dec. 11 for Colonel Gray students only. This is to allow for an extra professional development day for staff.
The holiday concert will still take place on Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. Come and get in the Christmas spirit by listening to the wonderful music performed by music students, under the direction of Shawn Doiron.
On Dec. 12, there will be a winter formal dance with a guest DJ, free snow cones, a photo booth with prints and a surprise visitor from the North Pole.
Charlottetown Rural High School
On Nov. 22-23, CRHS participated in the Rotary Youth Parliament.
Brandon MacKinnon was the leader of the opposition and critic of finance, Cory Pater was the critic of justice and public safety, Raquel Mendes Goudard was critic of transportation and education, Marghertia Bernasconi was the minister of finance and Adam Mackenzie was the co-minister of social development and housing.
The students were supervised by teacher Florrie MacLeod.
