YOUTH COOKING CONTEST

Congratulations to our 11 Finalists in the 2021 Women’s Institute ‘Island Product Youth Cooking Contest’. 11 of the 12 finalists are in the K.R.H.S. Grade 10 Foods class. Well done, Mrs. Reeves and students. Congratulations to: Emily Hunter, Emily Waite, Madison Clinton, Dallas Steves, Tyson McCardle, Sydney Muttart, Emily MacPherson, Aaleyah MacGillivary, Shane Caniga, Sara Estabrooks, and Erica Warren.

PINK SHIRT DAY

  • On Feb. 24, K.R.H.S. students will be participating in Pink Shirt Day at our school. 

TEACHER/STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK

Sincere thanks from the K.R.H.S. staff to all students and parents for the delicious treats, tasty meal, and kind gestures during Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week. 

ART CLUB

Kinkora Blazers Art Club is started on Tuesday, Feb. 23 for any Blazers interested in practicing art, developing skills, and hanging out with other artists. The club will run on Tuesdays for the rest of the school year from 3 – 5 p.m. after school. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Pendergast.

FAMILY VIOLENCE PREVENTION WEEK

Family Violence Prevention Week was recognized last week at K.R.H.S. to bring awareness to the violence that exists in our communities as well as to support the survivors of this violence and to demonstrate that any form of violence in a relationship is not ok. Students and staff wore purple and also held a supply drive for Anderson House, an emergency shelter for women and children who are victims of violence.
