Barb Stegemann, the first woman from Atlantic Canada to land a venture capital deal on CBC’s Dragons’ Den, will be a guest speaker at CBDC West Prince Ventures’ 2020 Entrepreneurship Forum.
The forum is a free event planned for Wednesday, March 4, from 9 a.m to 2:30 p.m. at Mill River Resort. It is open to anyone, ages 16 and up. Pre-registration is required. Anyone wishing to attend must register by email at [email protected], or by calling 902-853-3636.
Stegemann, creator of The 7 Virtues, secured a deal with the dragons for The 7 Virtues Beauty. She has gone on to be named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women and to win the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Forum participants will also hear from motivational speaker Alvin Law who encourages his listeners to focus on what they have, because everyone has problems and issues to deal with every day.
P.E.I. comedian and speaker, Patrick Ledwell is returning as the forum's master of ceremonies.
The forum will include a complimentary lunch, networking opportunities and a panel of P.E.I. entrepreneurs.
