CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Linda Jean Nicholson will be the guest speaker at the Prince Edward Island Genealogical Society’s next public meeting, set for Nov. 16, 2-4 p.m., at Beaconsfield’s Carriage House, corner of Kent and West streets, Charlottetown.
Nicholson’s presentation is titled: “Crossing the Pond for Research and Fun”. In her illustrated talk, she will re-live her recent trip to England, Scotland and Norway in search of archival adventures, distant relatives and breathtaking scenery. There are many stories to share, including serendipitous connections experienced while walking where ancestors once walked and lived.
All are welcome. Admission is free and refreshments will be available. The meeting is a great opportunity to network with others and support genealogy and heritage by considering a membership in the society.
