FallBack’s Charlottetown dance series wraps up for the season on Friday, Sept. 13.
This 19-and-over event takes place at the Winsloe Lions Club, 14 Campbell Rd., from 9 p.m. to midnight.
Admission is at the door and the dance includes a 50/50 draw with proceeds going to local food banks.
The popular 1950s- and 60s-themed dances have been ongoing since April, every Thursday night at the Silver Fox Entertainment Complex in Summerside and a monthly dance at the Winsloe Lions Club.
Although the band is wrapping up the Charlottetown portion of the series, people can still catch them every Thursday night in Summerside until Dec. 5.
“Playing those classic rock n’ roll tunes never gets old and the way the crowd responds to the music, well, that’s a reward in itself,’’ said Scott White, who handles vocals and guitar.
FallBack also includes Dale Gaudet, vocals, guitar; Tom DesRoches, vocals, bass; Steve Guy, saxophone; Johnny Ross, piano; and Wayne Robichaud, vocals and drums.
The band plays upbeat, popular songs from the era’s most famous names, including Elvis, the Beach Boys, Bill Haley and the Comets, Chubby Checker and Jerry Lee Lewis.
FallBack’s authentic presentation gives a solid nod to the past with all members wearing matching suits, with wardrobe changes between sets.
