SOURIS, P.E.I. — FallBack is getting ready to hit the Souris Live stage at the Souris Legion, 56 Main St., on Sunday, Nov. 17.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. with a show time of 7:30 p.m.
This six-piece band, which covers hit songs from the 1950s and 1960s, formed in 2015 and has been hosting weekly dances on Thursdays in Kensington ever since.
Band members are Scott White (vocals, guitar), Dale Gaudet (vocals, guitar), Johnny Ross (piano), Tom DesRoches (vocals, bass), Steve Guy (saxophone) and Wayne Robichaud (vocals, drums).
The group's repertoire ranges from Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly, to driving piano songs made famous by Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard. However, the band shines brightest when all members lean into their microphones and tackle vocal harmonies that pay homage to artists such as The Beach Boys, The Contours and The Beatles.
In 2016, FallBack released "In Time," a Music P.E.I.-nominated recording of self-penned songs influenced by the period's music. Some of these tunes are featured at the dances, and regular attendees have even developed dance moves specific to the original material.
The group's authentic presentation helps complete the time warp experience. All members wear matching suits, with wardrobe changes between sets, and the stage backdrop displays a 1950s influenced custom sign, bearing the band's name written in lights.
Tickets are available online at eventbrite.ca, at the Souris Legion or at the door. All tickets are $15. All ages are welcome.
