Dunsford to host P.E.I. fundraiser Dec. 8

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Dino Dunsford will host a Christmas Ceilidh on Sunday, Dec. 8, 1:30 p.m., at the Seniors Active Living Centre at UPEI.

Admission is $10 at the door which opens at 1 p.m. Dunsford will be joined by special guest Jacinta MacDonald, along with Brian Knox and Judy Lowe.

MacDonald has won many talent shows and performed at the Country Music Week in Hamilton and at the Canadian National Exhibition in Vancouver. She is also featured on the Christmas album “Stars of the Island” and her own album, “Good Old Maritimes”. MacDonald was the opening act for Wayne Rostad from “On the Road Again” and is involved in the music ministry at her church. MacDonald is also the newest member of the Lady Singers of our Century where she pays tribute to Patsy Cline and Reba McEntire.

Dunsford will be perform many of his favourite Christmas songs like “O Holy Night” and “Mary Did You Know”. He may also play a few Maritime sing-along songs. The winner of the Music P.E.I. Contribution Award for 2018, he has released five albums and is known for the energy he puts into his live shows.

There will be a light lunch served and there is plenty of free parking. This ceilidh is a fundraiser for the centre.
