MOUNT STEWART, P.E.I. — Doug Paisley will play The Trailside in Mount Stewart on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 8 p.m., with P.E.I. songwriter Al Tuck opening the show.

Paisley’s music, described as roots, folk and country, has drawn comparisons to Gordon Lightfoot, James Taylor and Townes Van Zandt. For 10 years his albums have been released to critical acclaim worldwide from “The Rolling Stone” to “The New Yorker”.

Having toured around the world he was drawn to Prince Edward Island and its music from Stompin' Tom Connors to Al Tuck.

Bring up Tuck’s name to any Canadian music insider, and you’d better find yourself a comfortable chair. Feist states that he might just be a living legend. He is an encyclopedia of popular music, a roving troubadour and after almost 20 years in the business is one of Canada’s true hidden musical treasures.

Tickets are available at www.trailside.ca, Back Alley Music or call 902-394-3626. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
