Deadline extended for auditions for P.E.I.'s TD Young Company

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Confederation Centre of the Arts has extended its deadline for video submissions to audition for the TD Young Company. 

The new deadline to apply is Sunday, Jan. 19.

The centre invites young people from across the country, between the ages of 18 and 30, to apply to be a part of this group of young storytellers. 

Whether these stories come from spoken word, through song or dance, are traditional or modern, the centre is looking for voices of all backgrounds to come together in P.E.I. for a fantastic summer experience in the arts.

Submissions are welcome from people of all backgrounds, cultures, genders and identities, with varying degrees of experience. 

Potential applicants are reminded that if they play a musical instrument or speak languages other than English, to showcase this in the video audition. 

Traditional songs, dances and speeches are welcomed and encouraged.

Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.

Rehearsals for the TD Young Company begin June 8, and this full-time program runs through Aug. 15.
