CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The 27th annual Colonel Gray Band Christmas Craft Fair is all set to go on Nov. 15-16 in Charlottetown.
The craft fair originated in 1992 and has become the major fundraiser for the Colonel Gray music department.
The entire event is organized and run by the band director, students and parents.
Those who stop by will be able to get a head start on their Christmas shopping at the craft fair with more than 100 vendors participating, featuring many tables of quality handcrafted items and festive decorations.
In addition, there will be a canteen, plenty of fudge and the opportunity to purchase fresh Christmas wreaths and trees. Those who are picking up wreaths and tree tickets can enter without paying admission by using the band entrance on the south side of the school.
To put everyone in the festive spirit, the award-winning musicians of the Colonel Gray band will be on hand to play live Christmas music throughout the school during the two days of the fair.
The craft fair runs Friday, Nov. 15, 5:30-9 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 16, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $3 with children under 12 admitted free. The fair will be wheelchair-accessible.
