Charlottetown fundraiser in support of homeless

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A gospel Christmas concert, in support of the homeless, is Sunday, Dec. 8 at Calvary Church, 9 Capital Dr., Charlottetown.

The show runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Music will be provided by Ed Doiron, Jeff Hamel, Irwin Webster as well as several choirs.

A silent auction will also take place, at the same time. There will be some great items to bid on including a one-night stay at the Holman Grand in Charlottetown.

Chief Supt. Kevin Lewis, who was named the new commanding officer of P.E.I. RCMP in January, says his father was a police officer in Thunder Bay, Ont., and told Lewis to join the Mounties for the adventure and a change of scenery. He has since lived in four provinces and two territories.
