CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Charlottetown Fire Department will be holding an information session Saturday, Oct. 12, for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter.

The session begins at 2 p.m. at Station 2 on St. Peters Road in Sherwood.

This event is part of the annual recruitment campaign and provides an opportunity to ask questions and speak with other volunteer firefighters.

Application packages are available until Oct. 25 at Station 1 on Kent Street at any time during the campaign and at Station 2 in Sherwood between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

All volunteer firefighters receive training and leadership development, insurance coverage, fellowship and annual honorariums.

Completed applications are due by Nov. 14 and must be returned to Station 1.
