Host Colleen MacPhee will be joined by the multi- talented Keelin Wedge and recording artist Marcella Richard.
Wedge will be a regular at the Winter Series ceilidhs, adding a blend of instrumentals and vocals. She expresses the true richness of P.E.I. Music. Whether it’s a foot stomping fiddle tune, a slow love ballad or an array of guitar instrumentals, Wedge livens up a ceilidh with her guitar and vocals.
Richard, raised in Mont Carmel, has been involved in theatre and music for many years.
Her performances have been enjoyed by audiences across Canada, the United States and France. She has recorded three French albums with all songs written by artists from the Maritimes and Louisiana.
She has also recorded several English albums. Richard, who loves country music, and will be perform songs from country female artists like Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and others.
MacPhee, a member of the popular group Lady Singers of our Century who pays tribute to Rita MacNeil perform songs from a variety of different artists and will join the rest of the band, Dave Berrigan, Heartz Godkin and Judy Lowe.
The ceilidh is a fundraiser for Winsloe United Church. The wheelchair accessible venue has plenty of parking and is located at 121 Winsloe Rd. Tickets are $10 at the door which opens at 6:30 p.m. There will be a light lunch served.
