SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A retrospective exhibition, 85 Years of Painting and Drawing, showcasing a variety of work from artist Nan Ferrier, will have its official opening on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2 p.m., at Eptek Centre in Summerside.
A variety of mediums and themes will be explored through Ferrier’s eyes, including portraits, life drawings, town scenes and several of her earlier works, among others. This will be on display into March.
Admission to the opening event is free, and refreshments will be served. All are welcome. To coincide with Music P.E.I. Week, which was Feb. 5-9, P.E.I. album art will also be on display throughout February. See the album art and listen to new releases from P.E.I.’s diverse and plentiful musical arts scene.
Eptek’s on-site gift shop carries only Island art and craft, as well as books on local themes. Also, be sure to visit the permanent exhibition on the history and architecture of Summerside.
Eptek Art & Culture Centre, a site of the Prince Edward Island Museum and Heritage Foundation, is located at 130 Heather Moyse Dr. on the Summerside waterfront, adjacent to the Harbourfront Theatre.
Admission is by donation.
