In January, Islanders batten down the hatches for what winter throws at us. But by the first of February, it’s high time to throw those doors open and get out again for a spirited night.
Join comedian Patrick Ledwell and musician Mark Haines for The Shack Wacky Review, a show celebrating Islanders and the qualities that help them live, drive and survive, all year round.
The show runs Friday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 1 at the P.E.I. Brewing Company, 96 Kensington Rd. in Charlottetown.
Originally scheduled for one night, The Shack Wacky Review sold out its Saturday show quickly and the Friday, Jan. 31 date has just been added, in response to ticket interest. Advance tickets are recommended.
Islanders tend to get a little “stir-crazy” this time of year, says Ledwell.
“So, the idea behind this show is simple. Let’s get friends out around tables together, good drink in hand and host a foot-stomping night of entertainment.”
Ledwell and Haines have established a P.E.I. tradition with The Island Summer Review, which has played seven sold-out seasons at Harmony House in Hunter River.
The show begins at 8 p.m. with the doors opening at 7 p.m.
