Music at The Manse will feature the music of Jeanie & Charles in concert on Friday, May 17. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Jeanie Campbell sings with the popular and long-running Charlottetown rock ’n’ roll band Phase II and Friends, while guitarist and vocalist Charles Reid is part of the North Shore-based dance band Party Mix.

The pair partnered up in this side project after meeting last September at a gig at Brookfield Presbyterian Church as an outlet to perform some of their favourite songs.

“We love all sorts of music, so something in the mix may connect with different people,” Campbell said.

The Manse, located at 14155 St. Peters Rd., dates to 1830 and has been restored and reborn by Tim Archer and Ricky Lee into an intimate and unique music venue perfect for what Jeanie & Charles present.

“I think we serve up a tasty stew of blues, country, pop, rock, soul, folk with an original song or two stirred in there just for extra flavour,” Reid said. “These are songs we grew up with, loved or came to love. Hope you can join us.”

Tickets are $15 at the door or can be reserved at 902-213-2861. Doors open at 6 p.m.
