MOUNT STEWART, P.E.I. — The Docherty Family Band will perform on Sunday, July 21, at St. Andrew’s Chapel.

The chapel is just east of Mount Stewart on the St. Peters Highway. Admission is at the door, and a lunch is served at the intermission. The show begins at 8 p.m.

The band consists of Kendall and his father, George, along with his brothers, Jason and Timothy.

Kendall, who is featured as the main vocalist, also plays instruments, introduces the musical selections and provides some Island humour. George does vocals as well as plays the rhythm guitar, fiddle, accordion and harmonica. Jason plays bass guitar and provides vocals, while Timothy plays on lead and rhythm guitar.

The family is joined by Peter Knox on drums.

Together they will provide an evening of song and entertainment mixed with fun and humour. Their music includes gospel, country, Celtic and Maritime selections.

The group has treated Islanders to music for many years and has appeared at the chapel for over 20 years.
