WINSLOE, P.E.I. — The well-known group Tip Er Back will be Dino Dunsford’s headline guest on Monday, Sept. 23, at the Winsloe United Church Ceilidh.

The doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show gets underway at 7:30 p.m.

The group consists of Wade Murray, Allan Betts and Clive Currie.

Murray, who has been playing bass guitar with the group since the Kickin’ Country days, also sings harmony. Betts is a songwriter, penning many great songs like “And I Owe My Life to You’’, recorded by Dunsford, one of the most requested songs on the CFCY Hoedown.

Some of his recent songs — “Lazy as a Rope’’, “Good Ole Maritimes’’ and “Old P.E.I.’’ are sung regularly by the likes of Eddy Quinn and many other popular artists. Betts is also a fine singer and guitar player. Currie is a multi-instrumentalist, who is right at home with a guitar, fiddle or harmonica. He is also a singer who gets the whole crowd standing when he yodels.

Dunsford performed for many years as a rock 'n’ roll singer but, in recent years, has ventured into many genres of music, including country, Irish and gospel. He’s one of the featured artists at the Peakes Wharf concert series in the summer and plays frequently at the Charlottetown Beer Garden as well as many other venues.

Dunsford has shared the stage with Chubby Checker, John Allen Cameron and many other artists and has sung the national anthems at the Ottawa Senators farm hockey team games.

Dunsford has three P.E.I. Music Awards. He recently received the Music P.E.I. Contribution Award for 2018. He has released five albums and is known for the energy he puts into his performance.

Tickets are available at the venue, which is wheelchair accessible.

A lunch will be served at intermission.
