The 2017 Christmas Stars Concert for QEH is set for Nov. 19, starting at 6 p.m., at the Jack Blanchard Centre, 7 Pond St., Charlottetown.

Hosted by Judy MacLean and co-host Bill Acorn (former host of Bill Acorn's Country Jamboree fame), this year’s lineup features a wide selection of Island talent.

Ready to take the stage are the Stratford Community Choir directed by Kay Linkletter,  along with P.E.I. rock ’n’ roll band Phase II (Gerry Hickey, Blaine Murphy, Pat King, John McGarry bass, Ed Young), who will be joined by Keila Glydon and Jeannie Campbell providing back-up harmonies.

Also on the bill are Lester MacPherson, the Judy MacLean Dancers, award-winning Saunders Sisters steppers, fiddler and Island champion step dancer Vanessa Bernard, the Bernard Family singers, Canadian recording artist Jimi Platts, singer/songwriter Emmett

DeCoursey, junior Maritime fiddle and step dance champ Amelia Parker, Emma Richards  and Colton "Elvis" Matheson. They’ll all be sounding great thanks to the work of sound technician Tom Barnes.

The evening includes a 50/50 draw, door prizes, and a treat table. Tickets are at the door beginning at 5 p.m. Call 902-566-5545 for information. Proceeds are to the Queen

Elizabeth Hospital.
