YARMOUTH, N.S. — Why are YOU voting?
The Tri-County Vanguard newsroom asked several Town of Yarmouth residents why they are voting in the Monday, Oct. 21 federal election. Here are their replies.

Grace Amirault: "I'm standing up for my rights."
Debra Camelin: "This is a right that we have in Canada. I follow a lot of African politics and was very connected with South Africa during the 70s and 80s when I was in university. It's something that I think we take for granted that other people die for. I have three children and they have to vote. That's important and it's a right that we have that we should honour and respect and go for it."
Cindy Nickerson: "We need to get somebody in, I guess. Personally I think it's a bit of a mess. Just trying to make a change, or try to do something."
Arnold Nickerson: "I think it's important to vote. If you don't vote you can't complain. You have no reason to complain. And I want to keep it status quo."
Ellen Burton: "Because I'm lucky I can."
