The City of Charlottetown, in partnership with the Council of Canadians, P.E.I. Chapter, is hosting a free movie screening March 22 in honour of World Water Day 2019.

World Water Day is recognized annually as a way to increase public awareness of important global freshwater issues.

Events are held around the world on this day and this year’s theme is, “Leaving no one behind”.

On March 22 at 7 p.m. there will be a free screening of the documentary, “Anthropocene - The Human Epoch” at Holland College (Theatre 2E) in Charlottetown (Grafton Street entrance). Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The documentary examines the impact humans have made on the planet. A discussion on the impact of our activities and the provision of safe water will immediately follow the viewing.
