Host Dino Dunsford welcomes back the duo of Keelin Wedge and Eddy Quinn to the Winsloe United Church ceilidh on Monday, Oct. 22, starting at 7:30 p.m.
This popular duo has been filling the venue, so get there early to insure a good seat.
Quinn, an author and songwriter, is the lead singer for the award-winning Island musical group Fiddlers’ Sons. He will be singing some of his traditional songs as well as sharing some stories from his book, “Island Characters”. Both his book and CD’s will be available to purchase at the ceilidh.
Wedge, a multi-instrumentalist and singer is also a member of the Fiddlers’ Sons and will be performing some of her magic when she plays jigs and reels on the guitar as well as on the fiddle. This high energy performer will thrill the audience with her vocal performance of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah’’.
Dunsford will be performing songs from a variety of different artists and will be joined by the rest of the band, Dave Berrigan, Brian Knox, Brian Knox and Judy Lowe.
The Ceilidh is a fundraiser for Winsloe United Church which is wheelchair accessible, has plenty of parking and located at 121 Winsloe Rd.
Tickets are $10 at the door with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. There will be a light lunch served.
