Apple pie sales support new CT scanner for the QEH
Oct 11, 2018 at 10:31 a.m.
Howard Bonnell, Bob Bruce and Layton Docherty, along with other members of the Stratford and Area Lions Club, are selling apple pies and bags of fresh apples in support of the QEH Foundation. The pies are $9, available baked or unbaked, while fresh apples are $4 for 5 pounds / $7 for 10 pounds. Both are available to purchase on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., until Oct. 27 at the Stratford and Area Lions building, at the corner of the Mason Road and Trans Canada. Funds raised from this fall sale will help purchase a new CT scanner for the QEH’s Diagnostic Imaging Department. CT scanning is critical for patient outcomes in major trauma, for stroke victims, and for most cancer cases, and costs approximately $1.5 million. - Contributed
