The seventh animal to be profiled in the 2017 edition of the 12 Strays of Christmas is Tiana, a shy five-year-old female hound. She loves food, snuggling, going for long walks and travels well. Tiana needs a quiet household preferably with another calm dog and a family that will earn her trust slowly and carefully.
Adoption Tip #7: The best thing for any dog, big or small is walks every day. If they tend to pull, get them fitted for a harness at your local pet store. Your dog wants to know the world. If they are confined to the house for too long, pets get bored and this can lead to destructive behaviors. Daily walks provide much needed quality time for you and your pooch. This time is extremely important to your dog’s behavioral development and will provide the foundation for a trusting relationship.
