The pilot program supports businesses hoping to attract investment for the purpose of growth and increasing export sales. Key program features include offsetting costs of a consultant or accessing professional services.

“As we know, one of the ways to grow our economy is to increase the level of exports from Nova Scotian companies,” Business Minister Geoff MacLellan said in a press release.

“Given the importance of exporting to the future of Nova Scotia, the government can support the private sector to be ready to seize opportunities for investment and growth through the creation of programs and services.”

The program will fund 75 per cent of eligible projects to a maximum of $20,000 and can assist up to 10 established, growth-seeking Nova Scotia exporting businesses outside of the start-up phase.

It’s $100,000 budget was established with funding from Budget 2019 for NSBI to expand and enhance export development programming.
