A Nova Scotia sparkling cider company is expanding its reach across Atlantic Canada.
On Wednesday, Middleton, N.S.-based Viveau, a subsidiary of Fundy Drinks Ltd., announced that its line of beverages would be available at Costco stores in the Atlantic region.
“Being listed by Costco is a huge milestone for Viveau as this can quickly help us expand our portfolio North America-wide,” president Ted Grant stated in a news release. “This takes us one step closer to having the majority of Canadians try our product.”
Introduced to the market in the fall of 2019, Viveau is described as an orchard-flavoured beverage made from 50 per cent fresh-pressed fruit and 50 per cent sparkling mineral water. It comes in a variety of flavours, including apple, blueberry and cherry.
The company says it has been steadily increasing production capacity in Middleton and has expanded with other retailers, including Farm Boy, Loblaws and IGA. Viveau is also exported to Singapore.
