CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - After months of renovations, the Kettle Black recently opened a second location in Charlottetown.

The new Kettle Black Marché is located at 135 Kent St. across from the Confederation Court Mall.

Owner Mazen Aldossary explained the renovations took longer than expected due to design changes.

The marché or “grab and go” concept has an espresso bar for beverages like coffee, tea or lattes as well as a bakery and kitchen for bread products and pastry, and a section with homemade meals, such as pizza, meatballs and sandwiches.

The marché has seating for 16 people. Aldossary is also planning to have a large coffee roaster on site.

Aldossary said he’s happy with the way the second location turned out, especially the way the building transformed from blueprints to the final product.

The first Kettle Black was located on Water Street. In 2015, it relocated to 45 Queen St.
