CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - The P.E.I. Brewing Company has launched a limited-edition beer to recognize the contributions of its brewer and business partner over the past two decades.
The Trent Hayesy IPA is a 473 millimetre hoppy ale, brewed with pilsner, wheat and oats and contains 5.1 per cent alcohol.
The beer is named after Trent Hayes, Gahan House brewer and partner.
“It was the start of a long journey when Trent joined the team and what a great brewer and a great partner he’s become over the last 20 years,” said Kevin Murphy, owner of the Murphy Hospitality Group, in a press release.
“Trent is a big part of the success of Gahan but also the craft beer industry in Canada. If you want good beers - quality and consistent beers, that’s what Trent is all about.”
The Trent Hayesy IPA is available at the P.E.I. Brewing Company, Gahan House, Gahan Beer Store (on P.E.I.), Gahan Harbourfront (growlers only) in Halifax, Gahan House Port City in Saint John, and Gahan House Riverside in Fredericton.
