Moo Moo Grilled Cheesery celebrates new year-round location

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - P.E.I.’s new Moo Moo Grilled Cheesery hosted customers and suppliers last month during the official grand opening of its first year-round location.

Director of operations Sheela Brennan cut the ribbon alongside local suppliers at the Cows Creamery location.

Brennan said not only should customers expect the ultimate comfort food in restaurants grilled cheese creations, but said it also may be the most local meal in town.

Moo Moo’s sandwiches include homemade bread from Buns and Things Bakery of Charlottetown, beef brisket from Atlantic Beef, bacon from Al’s Butcher Stop in Mount Stewart, pulled pork from McQuarries Meats, Larkin Brother Turkey, tomatoes from Van Kampen’s and Cows cheddar and butter.

Guests can also enjoy their sandwich with Spud Island potato chips, which only use P.E.I. potatoes.

Moo Moo also touts itself as one of the few “barbecue joints” on the East Coast. P.E.I. hardwood stokes the smoker for the chessery’s Smokin’ Atlantic beef brisket or pulled pork, served with homemade mac and cheese and topped with local bacon, beef, turkey or pork.

The P.E.I. Bacon Mac and Cheese also includes MacLean’s local bacon., while the accompanying tomato soup recipe is topped with Cows Cheddar Pops.

Moo Moo has also partnered with the P.E.I. Brewing Company, which hosts customers next to the cheesery at its beer station. Customers at the chessery cand take their meals next door and enjoy an adult beverage or take home some refreshments for later.

Moo Moo will be open all year round and is also on the home-delivery app Skip the Dishes for delivery in the Charlottetown area.
