CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — With many craft Christmas shows either cancelled or in doubt this year due to COVID-19, a group of about Island entrepreneurs have come together and are renting space below Peakes Quay Restaurant and Bar in Charlottetown to try and salvage the season.

Our Local Shop opened about a month ago in the space formerly occupied by the P.E.I. Dirt Shirt store, which relocated to Founders Food Hall and Market.

About 20 Island craft businesses have set up displays in the space. Business partners Lloyd Kerry, who sells 'I Love P.E.I.' merchandise and wood products, and Diana Tutty of Branching Out Wood Crafts, manage the space and handle sales at the cash register.
