BORDEN-CARLETON, P.E.I. — A couple of months after opening its doors, Borden-Carleton's Lone Oak Brewing Co. is holding its official grand opening on Saturday, Jan. 25.

The public portion of the grand opening is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. with live music by Max Koughan. At 6:45 p.m., a ribbon cutting ceremony is planned with government officials and co-owners Jared Murphy, Spencer Gallant and Dillon Wight. After that, more music is planned with a surprise musical guest and surprise band as well as a performance by The Poets.

The owners are also planning to release two new beers. Located in the town's Gateway Village (103 Abegweit Blvd.), Lone Oak has been serving customers, brewing and selling beer since November.

The Jan. 25 event has a $20 coverage charge for the evening.
