CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - As part of Small Business Week 2018, the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a workshop entitled “A Journey to Engagement: Working with and engaging five generations in the workplace”.

The presentation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 16 and will be presented by award-winning speaker Eddie LeMoine.

LeMoine is one of Canada's most sought-after experts on employee engagement, changing demographics, diversity and performance development. A best-selling author and international speaker, he specializes in leadership, employee attraction and retention and the psychology of success.

Through his stories, infectious sense of humor and genuine care for people, LeMoine connects with and motivates audiences all over the world.

"In our lifetime we will see seven generations in the workplace; this will become the biggest challenge facing managers in the future," said LeMoine. “An organization’s competitive advantage is determined by its ability to secure customers and the strength of their most important asset – human resources. In my workshop attendees will learn how to attract and retain the best talent."

Drawing on his career as a senior executive, LeMoine has managed multi-generational teams to achieve results, and his real-world experience has helped him evolve into a captivating keynote speaker.

Workshop participants will receive a free pass to his online training community, which includes videos, webinars and other resources related to his presentations.

“Employers are recognizing the changes taking place in today's workplaces around recruitment, retention, demographics, and diversity,” said Jennifer Evans, president of the chamber board. “Eddie’s workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to inspire their teams to deliver higher levels of customer service and provide positive workplace environments.”

Two workshop time slots are available for registration, with a morning session from 8 to 10:30 a.m., or an afternoon session from noon to 2:30 p.m.
