CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – A red-hot Three Truths will race against seasoned company in tonight’s feature at Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

First race post time is 6:30 p.m. for the 11-dash program with a power-packed field of seven contesting the Race 10 featured pace for a $2,350 purse. Three Truths rides a three-race win streak into the event and will draw Post 5 for driver Kenny Arsenault, trainer Paul Doyle and owners Jason Rice of Kensington and Darren Doyle of York.

The five-year-old son of Shadow Play defeated the same preferred 2 class in his latest start while taking a new lifetime mark of 1:55.1. Three Truths defeated three of the horses racing against him this week but will also have to contend with a pair of class droppers and a front-end specialist with an improved post. Perfect Escape (Gilles Barrieau) jumps up in class for this race but draws Post 1 and proves deadly when he acquires the front end.

The outside duo of Winter Blast (Jason Hughes) and Red Magician (Adam Merner) drop out of the preferred 1 class to try and cut Three Truths’ win streak short.

The $1,950 open trot lines up in Race 8 with Majian Tango the favourite from Post 6 for trainer-driver Jim Ripley and owner Marylea Ripley of Amherst, N.S. His stablemate Majian Chester (Ken Murphy) is installed at 7-2 odds from the rail, while Dusty Lane Jacob (MacPherson) was an impressive winner last week and gets Post 2. Sophomore stakes trotter Buckaroo will leave from Post 7 as he faces off with aged company for trainer-driver Campbell.
