Three Islanders named to Team Atlantic

For Canadian under-18 female ch’ship

DARTMOUTH, N.S. – Three Prince Edward Islanders have earned the right to represent Atlantic Canada on the national scene.
Forwards Taylor Gillis of Summerside, Lexie Murphy of Kensington and Kelly Clements of High Bank have been selected for Team Atlantic that will represent the region at the Canadian under-18 female hockey championship in Quebec City from Nov. 1 to 5.
The final roster was announced in a media release on Monday afternoon.


Team Atlantic is made up of 20 players chosen from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador. The final selection took place at the 2017 Atlantic Challenge Cup in Moncton, N.B., earlier this month.
Nelson MacAulay of Souris is Team Atlantic’s goaltending coach. MacAulay is also the goaltending coach for the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild of the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League.
