CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - The Sherwood Metros rode a three-goal third period to salt away a 6-3 win over the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces in Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League action Monday at Cody Banks Arena.

The best-of-seven league final is tied 1-1. Game 3 is Thursday, 8:20 p.m., at Cody Banks.

Brandon Sullivan, Robert Hicken and Will Levasseur (1-1) scored in the decisive period. Sullivan also scored earlier in the first frame.

Owen Arsenault (1-1) and Marc Cummiskey added third-period markers for Sherwood. Brad Jenkins chipped in two assists.

Brayden Handrahan (1-1), Brayden Arsenault and Keaton Horne netted the Aces goals, while Brydon Smith tallied a pair of helpers.

James Duffy earned the goaltending win over Bradley Shea.

Sherwood outshot Tignish 42-41 and went 1-for-7 on the power play. Tignish was 2-for-6 with the extra man.

Tignish led 2-1 after the first frame. Sherwood had a 4-2 edge at the second intermission.
