Summerside United, WC Royals earn under-15 soccer titles

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Summerside United girls and the Winsloe-Charlottetown Royals FC boys were victorious Thursday in the Subway under-15 premier division soccer finals at UPEI.

Summerside won the title with a penalty shootout victory over Hillsborough United. The teams played through a scoreless regulation and extra time. Summerside's Kyrsten Coyle and Hillsborough's Maci Ross recorded the clean sheets.
The Royals defeated RC United 1-0 behind Deyaeddin Hassan's goal in the fourth minute. Matthew Perry and Luke Clark shared the shutout.
