Reds cruise past Panthers in men's basketball

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The UNB Varsity Reds blew out the UPEI Panthers Friday in Atlantic University Sport men’s basketball action in Charlottetown.

The Reds held quarter leads of 22-8, 49-25 and 74-46 en route to a 99-55 victory.

Jesse Kendall had 15 points off the bench to lead the Reds while former Panther Spencer Dawson went for 14, including going 4-for-6 from three-point land, and Javon Masters also scored 14.

Milorad Sedlarevic was the lone Panther to score in double digits, finishing the night with 22 points. The Panthers were outrebounded 44-20.

UNB improved to 3-0 while UPEI is 0-3.

The teams play again Saturday at 8 p.m.
