CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Former UPEI Panthers netminder Mavrix Parks was named the CCM ECHL goaltender of the week.
The 27-year-old Eganville, Ont., native went 2-0-0 with a shutout, a 1.50 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage for the Kansas City Mavericks. He has played three games with the club this season, also having played 29 games with Birmingham in the Southern Professional Hockey League.
Parks played for the Panthers from 2011-12 to 2015-16.
