SYDNEY, N.S. – Ciera Disipio scored three goals to lead the Cape Breton Capers to an 8-0 victory over the UPEI Panthers Saturday in Atlantic University Sport women’s soccer action.

Madison Laver scored at 12:52 and Chantal Caron made it 2-0 two seconds later. Disipio, Amelia Carlini, an own goal and Caron again made it 6-0 before the break.

Rachel Yerxa didn't stop a shot for the clean sheet while Ali Muise stopped four of the 10 shots she faced.

Cape Breton improved to 5-0-0 while UPEI is 1-3-1. The Panthers play the St. FX X-Women Sunday at 1 p.m. in Antigonish, N.S.
