SUMMERSIDE – If your last name wasn't MacPherson, Spence, Rogers or Arsenault, you did not see much of the winner's circle at Red Shores at Summerside Raceway on Sunday afternoon.
The Prince County oval played host to 12 dashes, with all but one race won by those four reinsman.
Corey MacPherson had four wins on the day, including the $2,200 feature with Painted Desert in a time of 1:56.3 for trainer Trevor Hicken and owner Perry Burke of Grosse-Ile., Que.
The Ken Murphy-driven Machinthesand was second, with Rash B Havior (Norris Rogers) finishing third.
MacPherson's other wins on the program came with Minor Wisdom in a 1:58.1 score for owner-trainer Kristina McCourt of Kensington, Positive Art in a 25-1 upset in 1:58 for Bing Easter of O'Leary and Delightful Nights in 2:01 for trainer Blaine McKenna of Summerside.
Rogers had three wins on the afternoon card, including Sporty B Skipalong in 2:01.2 and Goodmorning Ky in 1:59.1, both for trainer Frank Banks of Summerside and Allstar Seelster in a 1:57 score for owner-trainer Ed Harvey of Tyne Valley.
Drivers Dale Spence and Kenny Arsenault both had driving doubles on the program.
